That Connect
Hi, I’m Chrystal, the founder of Conversations That Connect—and trust me, I get how frustrating and exhausting family life can be when communication just isn’t working. I know this because I’ve lived it. Family is everything to me, but with both my immediate and extended family, trying to communicate and address the real issues without stepping on toes was always a challenge. Miscommunication leaves everyone feeling misunderstood, frustrated, and disconnected. Like most families, we had our fair share of fights—some small, some big—and they always centered around communication

Hi, I’m Chrystal, the founder of Conversations That Connect—and trust me, I get how rustrating and exhausting family life can be when communication just isn’t working. I know this because I’ve lived it. Miscommunication leaves everyone feeling misunderstood, frustrated, and disconnected. Like most families, we had our fair share of fights—some small, some big—and they always centered around communication
Let’s be real—communication is tough, especially when it feels like no one’s really listening. It’s the little things that start to add up, and before you know it, small misunderstandings become massive arguments. You stop talking about things because it feels easier to avoid the conflict, but deep down, it’s frustrating. You love your family, but sometimes it feels like no one really gets each other anymore.
I saw this happen in my own family. We tiptoed around each other, walking on eggshells, and sometimes it felt like there was no way to break through the walls that were building between us. I realized that it wasn’t that we didn’t love each other—it was that we didn’t know how to talk to each other.
That’s why I created Conversations That Connect. To help families like mine (and probably like yours) get back to talking—not just talking, but really understanding each other. Because I know what it’s like to sit in those awkward silences, to leave things unsaid, and to wish things could be different. But I also know that it’s possible to change all of that with the right tools and conversations that actually matter.

At Conversations That Connect, we’re all about making sure families feel seen, heard, and connected. What matters most to us is giving you the tools to break through the surface-level stuff and get to the heart of what really matters.
We care about real conversations.
Not the “let’s just get through this” kind of talks, but the ones where you finally feel like you’re on the same page, even when things are hard.
We care about connection.
It’s not about having the perfect family dynamic. It’s about creating a space where everyone feels valued, understood, and able to speak their truth.
We care about healing.
Every family has their tough moments, and sometimes that leaves wounds. We’re here to help you heal those through honest, open communication that brings you closer instead of tearing you apart.
We care about hope.
Even when it feels like things are falling apart, we believe there’s always a way back to connection, love, and understanding. You just need the right tools to get there—and that’s

Conversations That Connect isn’t just about avoiding conflict. It’s about building something deeper—real trust, connection, and love. I want to give families the tools to have the hard talks, the ones that heal and bring everyone closer, even when it’s uncomfortable at first. Because every family deserves that.

Since launching Conversations That Connect, I’ve had the privilege of helping families take the first steps toward better communication. Some of the things I’m most proud of include:
Helping over 1,000 families through our free toolkit, giving them ractical tools they can use to improve ommunication at home.
Developing our signature
program, which focuses on
the toughest family dynamics, offering hands-on resources to resolve conflict, build trust, and strengthen connections.
Hearing from families who’ve turned things around—families who went from struggling to thriving, all because they learned how to talk and truly connect.
Going forward, our mission is simple: We want Conversations That Connect to be a place where families come not just to get help, but to feel hope. A place where you don’t have to settle for “just getting through the day,” but where you can build something deeper—a family that truly gets each other.
We believe that every family, no matter their story or structure, can learn to communicate better, heal old wounds, and build stronger bonds.
And I’d be honored to help your family on that journey.
